A Metric Theory of Gravitation without Minimal Coupling of Matter and Gravitational Field

چکیده
A metric theory of gravitation is suggested which reduces to Einstein's theory in the case of vanishing matter. If matter is present, in the Lagrangian formulation of the theory the principle of minimal coupling is given up by directly linking the matter variables to the curvature tensor. The theory contains a free parameter of dimension length. It is considered not to be a universal constant but a length characteristic for the mass of the material system described. Results diverging from those of General Relativity are to be expected for regions with high curvature i. e. especially for gravitational collapse and dense phases of the cosmos. An exact, static and spherically symmetric solution with constant matter density is discussed; it indicates that, possibly, gravitational collapse is avoided.

Gravitation Theory: Empirical Status from Solar System Experiments: All observations to date are consistent with Einstein's general relativity theory of gravity.
I have reviewed the historical and contemporary experiments that guide us in choosing a post-Newtonian, relativistic gravitational theory. The foundation experiments essentially constrain gravitation theory to be a metric theory in which matter couples solely to one gravitational field, the metric field, although other cosmological gravitational fields may exist. The metric field for any metric...

The vanishing of the divergence of the matter stress–energy tensor for General Relativity is a particular case of a general identity, which follows from the covariance of the matter Lagrangian in much the same way as (generalized) Bianchi identities follow from the covariance of the purely gravitational Lagrangian. This identity, holding for any covariant theory of gravitating matter, relates t...

The causality principle for the Relativistic Theory of Gravitation (RTG) is presented. It is a straightforward consequence of the RTG basic postulates. The necessary conditions for physical solutions of the gravitational field equations to be fulfilled are given. The Relativistic Theory of Gravitation [1] (RTG) as the field theory of gravitation is based on a hypothesis, that the gravitational ...

Bianchi type-VI0 space time with strange quark matter attached to string cloud in Nordtvedt [1] general scalar tensor theory of gravitation with the help of a special case proposed by Schwinger [2] is obtained. The field equations have been solved by using the anisotropy feature of the universe in the Bianchi type-VI0 space time. Some important features of the model, thus obtained, have been di...

In the second self-creation theory of gravitation and in the general theory of relativity, Bianchi type VI0 cosmological model in the presence of viscous fluid is studied. An exact solution of the field equations is given by considering the cosmological model yields a constant decelerations parameter q=constant and the coefficients of the metric are taken as A(t)=[c1t+c<su...
